Just got these Timberland PRO Flex pants and wow, they're definitely a mixed bag. The fabric feels premium and the stretch is nice, but who decided work pants should fit like skinny jeans?
First wear impressions: They look sharp - like proper urban tactical wear. The hidden lower back pockets are cool (though I can't figure what to put there besides my multitool). The knee overlays seem durable but the drain openings make me question if these are meant for actual job sites.
Major sizing issue though! These run crazy tight compared to older Timberland work pants. Had to size up twice just to move comfortably. Disappointed they changed the fabric from the previous version - these feel more fashion than function.
Final verdict? Great if you want that 'tacticool' look for city wear, but I wouldn't trust them for serious work. They're basically dress pants pretending to be workswear. Keeping them for nights out, returning to Carhartt for actual job sites.
