Okay, so last winter was a disaster for my shrubs. Deer kept munching on them like a free buffet! This year I decided to try these 8ft tree covers and wow - game changer!
The material feels super sturdy but breathable. I was worried about suffocating my plants, but the non-woven fabric lets them breathe while keeping them cozy. And the best part? No more deer snacks!
The drawstring bottom is genius. My old burlap covers would fly off in wind storms, but these stay put no matter what. Though fair warning - the strings are kinda long and can get tangled at first.
Size tip: Pay attention to the circular shape! At first I thought '8ft diameter' meant it would cover an 8ft wide area flat, but it's actually a sphere when opened fully. Took me a minute to figure that out.
Installation was stupid easy - just pop it over the plant and pull the drawstring tight. Even did my potted plants in about 2 minutes each. They've survived multiple snowstorms already this season!
Only wish they came in taller options for some of my leggier plants, but for most shrubs and bushes, these are perfect winter armor.
