Okay, so I'm one of those people who rents and can't drill holes willy-nilly. When my Ring doorbell almost got stolen last month (rude!), I knew I needed a solution. Enter this QIBOX mount thingy.
First off - installation was STUPID easy. Like 'I-did-it-while-drinking-coffee' easy. Just clamp it on the door, adjust the little clips, and boom - your fancy doorbell is now in Fort Knox mode.
The metal feels solid AF. Like, if someone tries to steal my doorbell now, they're gonna need power tools and probably wake up my whole building. Take that, porch pirates!
BUT (there's always a but) - it does make my door not close as tight? Like there's this tiny gap now where cold air sneaks in like an uninvited guest. Not ideal for winter, but I'll take slightly chilly over robbed any day.
Also heads up - if you're super particular about camera angles, you might need to play with the positioning a bit. Mine catches like 98% of what I need to see though.
Final verdict: 4/5 stars because nothing's perfect, but this comes pretty close for us non-drilling renters who want to keep our tech safe!
