Let me start by saying I didn't expect much from a phone at this price point, but the UMIDIGI G9T has been my daily driver for three weeks now, and wow - this thing punches above its weight class.
The 6.75" 90Hz display is shockingly smooth for scrolling through Reddit and TikTok. It's not OLED-level blacks, but the colors pop nicely and the eye-care mode actually makes late-night browsing less straining.
Battery life? Absolute unit. I'm getting two full days with moderate use - social media, some YouTube, messaging. The 18W charging isn't the fastest out there, but going from 20% to 80% while I shower is plenty convenient.
The camera setup is... adequate. Daylight shots are decent (that 13MP main sensor does okay), but low-light performance is what you'd expect at this price. Perfect for capturing memos or quick snaps, not your next Instagram masterpiece.
Performance-wise, Android 14 runs surprisingly well on the UNISOC T606. Apps open quickly, and with the RAM expansion enabled to 8GB, I haven't experienced any major lag during multitasking.
Two quirks worth mentioning: The included case feels cheap but does the job, and while face unlock works great, the fingerprint sensor is hit-or-miss (I just stick with PIN code).
For someone who needs a reliable secondary phone or isn't chasing flagship specs, this delivers exceptional value. It's become my gym/beater phone that handles everything except hardcore gaming without complaint.
