I've been using the LianShi Alarm Lock for a few months now, and it's been a mixed experience. The 110dba alarm is seriously loud – like, 'wake up the whole neighborhood' loud. I use it on my bike when parked outside overnight, and that piercing sound gives me peace of mind.
The anti-cut feature seems solid – the hardened latch shows no signs of wear despite daily use. I love how it switches between mechanical and alarm modes by simply turning the latch. The low false alarm rate is accurate too; it beeps twice as a warning before going full siren mode.
However, there's a big BUT here. Like several reviewers mentioned, water resistance is practically non-existent. The first time it rained, my lock started making weird muffled sounds until it completely dried out. I'm now paranoid about weather conditions after reading horror stories about water damage.
For dry climates or indoor use (like securing garden sheds), this lock performs great at an affordable price. But if you need something for all-weather outdoor protection, you might want to look elsewhere or be prepared to baby this lock during rainy seasons.
