Okay, so this oliruim thinker statue is definitely the most interesting thing on my desk right now. At first glance, it's this artsy, minimalist piece that supposedly radiates ~deep thoughts~ but let me tell you what I really see...
The earth-tone finish is nice and all (though I agree with other reviewers that the color could be more even), but what really gets me is the pose. The product description says 'serene, thoughtful' but honey, this figurine looks like she just woke up with the worst neck cramp of her life! I catch myself laughing every time I glance at it – it's like she's mid-yoga stretch gone wrong.
That said, I'm weirdly obsessed with it? The resin quality is actually great – smooth to touch and surprisingly heavy for its size. It fits perfectly between my monitor and succulent collection without taking up too much space (about the size of my hand).
Pro tip: It looks especially dramatic when backlit by my desk lamp. The shadows make the 'thinking' (or neck-cracking?) pose look even more intense. My coworkers keep asking about it, so mission accomplished for being a conversation starter!
Would I buy it again? Honestly yes, but mainly to gift to friends with a note saying 'when Monday hits too hard'. Art is subjective, right?
