First impression? These aluminum alloy knob covers look sleek straight out of the package with their shiny blue finish. They definitely add a rugged yet refined touch to my 2012 Tahoe's interior - like little pieces of jewelry for my dashboard.
The installation was hit-or-miss though. The headlight knob cover fits perfectly - snaps on with satisfying click and stays put. But the HVAC knob covers? Those babies are loose as socks on a chicken. I kept checking if I'd installed them wrong, but nope - they just don't grip well.
Weird thing about the 'peel-off tape' mentioned in other reviews - mine didn't have any adhesive at all. It's purely friction-fit, which explains why some covers feel more secure than others depending on your specific knobs.
Pro tip: Test fit EVERY cover before committing. My LTZ's touchscreen meant only one small cover actually worked from the radio set. The product photos don't show this clearly enough.
At the end of the day, I'm only using three out of six covers that came in the pack. They do look sharp against my black interior though, especially when sunlight hits that metallic blue finish. Just wish the fit was more consistent across all knobs.
