I recently got my hands on the Hanes Men's EcoSmart Fleece sweatshirt, and here's my honest take after wearing it for a few weeks.
The Good: The inside is *insanely* soft—like wearing a hug. I’ve washed mine three times (yes, I threw it in the dryer too), and zero pilling so far. For the price, that’s impressive. I sized up to a medium for a relaxed fit (usually an XS/S), and it’s perfect—roomy but not sloppy. The double-stitched seams feel sturdy, and the crewneck lays flat without choking me.
The Not-So-Good: It’s lightweight, so don’t expect heavy winter warmth. On windy days, I layer it over a long-sleeve tee. One gripe: shrinkage is real. After one warm wash, mine lost about half an inch in length—annoying if you’re tall. Also, the fabric isn’t as thick as premium brands (looking at you, Fruit of the Loom), so it’s more of a fall/spring piece.
Verdict: A solid budget pick for lazy weekends or errands. I bought two colors and plan to grab more—just size up if you want layering room or hate shrinkage surprises.
