Okay, so I've been using this Fdit automatic fish feeder for about 3 months now, and let me tell you - it's been a rollercoaster!
First off, the convenience is AMAZING. No more panicking when I oversleep and forget to feed my betta. The timer function works decently once you figure out its quirks (more on that later). My fish actually recognize the sound of it dispensing now and swim right to the surface - so cute!
BUT here's the thing - portion control is a nightmare. Even on the smallest setting, it sometimes dumps way too much food. I had to do some serious trial runs before trusting it while I was away for a weekend. Pro tip: test it extensively before actual use!
The build quality surprised me though - that plastic is sturdier than it looks in pictures. It clips securely onto my curved tank edge without issues.
Major warning though: DO NOT use this with flake food unless you want a soggy mess! Stick to pellets only.
Would I recommend? Maybe... if you're tech-savvy enough to troubleshoot and don't mind babysitting it at first. It's not perfect, but for the price? Not bad at all.
