Let me start by saying this book has some solid theory content, especially if you're prepping for ASE tests. The explanations on various auto systems are clear and well-structured, making it a decent resource for beginners.
BUT... the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The incomplete diagrams without proper labels drove me nuts! I found myself constantly Googling to understand what those numbered components actually were - totally defeats the purpose of a training manual.
The blank graphs in Chapter 10? Unacceptable. When you're learning about sensor waveforms, seeing actual waveforms is kinda the whole point. This section felt like reading half a textbook.
Print quality issues and typos throughout make it feel like they rushed this to press. For the price, I expected better proofreading and quality control.
Here's my take: If you can get this cheap (like under $20) and supplement with YouTube videos for the visual parts, it's worth having as reference material. But at full price? Save your money - there are better resources out there that won't leave you frustrated.
