I recently got my hands on the XBLACK Fishing Lures Set, and I have to say, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. The lures look fantastic—3D eyes, realistic coloring, and that BBS sound bead design had me excited. I could almost picture the bass going crazy for them.
First trip out, I hit my usual bass spot where Berkeley flicker shad usually slays. Not a single nibble with the XBLACK lures. Switched back to my old faithful, and bam—fish on. Frustrating, but maybe just bad luck? Tried them in a different lake next weekend… still nothing. These lures might need the right conditions or technique.
On the upside, the build quality is solid. The hooks are sharp (no rust yet!), and the ABS plastic feels durable. They’re smaller than I expected—more panfish-sized—but that could be perfect for trout or crappie. For the price, it’s not a bad deal if you’re experimenting with new gear.
Verdict? They look great on the tackle box, but until I crack their code, they’re backup lures for me. Maybe you’ll have better luck—let me know if you do!
