Just installed the LyPrem PVC line cover kit for my mini-split AC, and here’s the tea ☕.
The Good: The kit comes with almost everything you’d need for a clean-looking install—straight ducts, couplings, and even a flexible duct (though more on that later). The PVC feels sturdy enough to handle weather, and I love that it’s paintable! My beige house no longer has weird white tubes sticking out like sore thumbs.
The Annoying: The couplings don’t fully cover the line set joints?? Also, zero 90-degree elbows included. Had to MacGyver some parts to make bends work. And that flexible duct? Total mystery—wouldn’t fit snugly with anything. Ended up not using it.
Pro Tip: Pay attention to the grooves! The double-groove side MUST face the wall, or nothing fits. Felt like solving a puzzle blindfolded (instructions would’ve been nice, LyPrem).
Final Verdict: It’s decent for straight runs if you don’t need fancy angles. Saved my lines from looking like spaghetti, but I’ll probably hunt for a kit with elbows next time. 3.5/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐✨
