Just set up my Tedgetal 12U rack, and here's the real talk.
The Good: This thing is built like a tank! The SPCC steel feels sturdy, and the 133lbs capacity means my gear isn't going anywhere. The locking door is a nice touch for security, and the vented design keeps everything cool.
The Annoying: The instructions? Basically hieroglyphics. Took me way longer than it should have to figure out the rail placement. Pro tip: skip the included video—it's useless. Just wing it with common sense.
Surprise Win: The side panels pop off easily for maintenance, which saved me when I needed to reroute cables last-minute. Also, the 3-year warranty is a nice safety net.
Room for Improvement: No fans included (why??), and the mounting screws were finicky—had to bust out my own hardware. Shelves would’ve been a nice bonus too.
Bottom line: It’s not perfect, but for the price, it gets the job done if you’re okay with some DIY troubleshooting.
