After testing the TEZONG 20x25ft pond liner in my backyard koi pond project, I have some strong opinions. The thickness (28mil) feels substantial when unrolling it, and the material has a reassuring stiffness that suggests durability.
The installation was straightforward - I appreciated how it conformed to the irregular shape of my pond without tearing. Unlike cheaper liners I've used before, this one didn't develop micro-tears when adjusting its position. The UV resistance seems legit too; after two months in direct sunlight, there's no noticeable degradation.
However, I noticed some quality control issues. While mine holds water perfectly, several reviewers reported leaks between the weaves. This inconsistency concerns me - you might get a great liner or a glorified tarp (some units even arrived with grommets!). The 'PE safe material' claim checks out though - my koi show no signs of stress.
For larger projects, the size is fantastic. I had plenty leftover to create a connecting stream feature. The material handles rocks well, but as one reviewer noted, tree roots might be its Achilles' heel. It's definitely more rigid than premium liners - not as easy to work with in intricate designs.
Bottom line? At this price point, it's decent for temporary or budget installations, but for permanent water features with expensive fish, you might want to invest in something more reliable. It served my needs well enough, but I'll be keeping a close eye on its long-term performance.
