I've been wearing the Amazfit Active 2 for about a month now, and honestly, it's exceeded my expectations. The stainless steel case gives it a premium look that doesn't scream 'budget watch' at all. I've gotten multiple compliments on it at the gym!
The AMOLED display is seriously impressive - I can clearly see my stats even during midday runs under direct sunlight. Speaking of running, the GPS locks on faster than my old Garmin, and the turn-by-turn navigation saved me when I got lost on a new trail last weekend.
What surprised me most was the sleep tracking accuracy. It actually noticed when I had a bad night's sleep before I did, showing restless periods that matched when my dog kept jumping on the bed. The heart rate monitor seems just as precise during workouts too.
Battery life is where this watch really shines. After 7 days of regular use (including GPS workouts), I still had 30% left. That's with always-on display turned off though - with it on, you'll get about 4-5 days.
The leather strap looks great but did irritate my wrist after long wear days until I swapped it for a silicone one. Also wish there were more third-party watch faces available.
For under $100? This might be the best value smartwatch out there right now if you prioritize fitness features over app ecosystems.
