When I first opened this set of human organ models, I was pleasantly surprised by their size and quality. The hand-painted details make each organ visually distinct - my personal favorite is the textured brain with its realistic grooves.
As a homeschooling parent, I've used these in multiple ways: we played 'organ hide-and-seek' where my kids had to place each piece correctly on a body outline, and they've become permanent residents in our play doctor's office. The durable plastic has survived numerous drops from little hands.
The storage tube is genius - we toss it in our backpack for park days where the organs inevitably become characters in some imaginative story (apparently the liver makes a great spaceship). While true that the proportions aren't anatomically perfect (yes, that heart is comically large), this actually helps younger kids handle and identify each piece more easily.
After three months of heavy use, the paint shows minimal wear except on the stomach where it's been 'operated on' repeatedly with plastic utensils. These have sparked more questions about bodily functions than any textbook ever could - though be prepared for some interesting dinner table conversations!
