Okay, so I finally got my hands on the Big Ant Leather Seat Pad, and here's the tea ☕.
First off, the anti-slide design is LEGIT. No more awkward shuffling when I get in/out of my car—the grip on the bottom is like a stubborn octopus. But PSA: it arrives folded like a pancake and takes HOURS to fluff up. Patience, grasshopper.
The versatility is a win—I’ve used it on my office chair, kitchen stool, and even dragged it to a park bench (judge me). But the attachment system? LOL. Those elastic hooks and mystery plastic discs are like a bad puzzle. Mine keep unhooking when I exit the car, and now I’m considering duct tape. Not chic.
Comfort-wise, it’s decent for short sits, but if you’re expecting cloud-level cushioning… nah. My hip pain improved (yay!), but my sister called it ‘glorified cardboard.’ Also, the ‘leather’ feels more like budget vinyl—don’t expect Hermès.
Cleaning? Easy-peasy with a damp cloth. But after 3 weeks, the fake ‘tufted’ circles started peeling like a sunburn. Cute in photos, tragic in reality.
Verdict: It’s a 6/10. Great for slide-proofing seats and light comfort, but the attachments need an exorcism. Would I repurchase? Maybe… if they invent a bungee-cord-free version.
