Let me start by saying this fingerprint attendance machine looks sleek and promises a lot. The setup was surprisingly easy – I had it up and running in under 10 minutes. The fingerprint recognition works most of the time, registering punches in less than a second when it cooperates.
However, I've had some serious headaches with data export. Like other reviewers mentioned, the Excel reports sometimes come out empty or password-protected with no instructions. I spent hours trying different USB drives formatted to FAT32 before getting one to work consistently.
The recognition isn't perfect either. Some of my team members with dry or worn fingerprints need multiple attempts – up to 6 tries sometimes. That morning rush hour queue gets frustrating real quick.
When it works, it's brilliant for tracking our 50+ employees across shifts. But when it doesn't... well, let's just say I keep paper backups now. For the price, I expected more reliability in the software department.
