First off, let me just say - this paint set is a rainbow in a box! The 56 colors (including those 5 shimmery metallics) had me feeling like a kid in a candy store. I tested them on canvas, wood, and even some old ceramic tiles, and wow do these pigments pop!

The matte finish is gorgeous - it gives artwork such a professional look. I painted a sunset landscape and the colors blended beautifully without losing their vibrancy. Though fair warning: some lighter shades (especially yellows) needed two coats for full opacity.

What surprised me most was how quickly these dry! Perfect for impatient artists like me who hate waiting between layers. The texture is creamy smooth - no clumps or weird separation. And can we talk about that price? Getting this many quality colors individually would cost triple!

Now for the real test: my 8-year-old niece used them for her school project. Not only did she create masterpiece after masterpiece (her words), but cleanup was easy and I didn't worry about toxicity. The paints passed the 'kid test' with flying colors (pun intended).
