Okay, so I grabbed this incense book hoping for some deep dive into fragrances and rituals. Spoiler: it's... fine? Not terrible, but not what I expected either.

The good stuff first - it does give a decent overview of different incense types and how to use them. Like, if you're totally new to this whole incense thing, it's actually a pretty quick and easy guide to get started.

But here's the thing that bugs me - where are the pictures?? For a topic that's all about sensory experience, some visual references would've been super helpful. Like show me what these different incense types look like!

Also saw some complaints about Kindle compatibility issues. Didn't have that problem myself (got the paperback), but heads up for digital readers.

Would I buy it again? Probably not at full price. But if you see it on sale and want a basic intro, it's... okay?
