Just finished 'The Crash' by Freida McFadden and wow, what a ride! From the moment pregnant Tegan crashes her car in that blizzard, I was glued to the pages. The tension is unreal – you can practically feel the snow and desperation creeping in.
What I loved most? The alternating POVs between Tegan and Polly. It's like watching a psychological chess match where both players think they're winning. And that twist at the end? Didn't see it coming at all! Though I'll admit, part of me totally suspected Sadie was involved.
The atmosphere is so well done – that isolated cabin setting had me checking my own locks at night. And while some parts felt a bit drawn out (come on Polly, just take her to the hospital already!), it all builds to an explosive finale.
Not my favorite McFadden (that honor goes to The Housemaid), but still a solid 4-star read. Perfect for when you want something dark and twisty that you can finish in a weekend. Just maybe don't start it right before bed – trust me on this one!
