Okay, so I finally got my hands on this Eddie Bauer comforter set after reading SO many reviews. Here's my honest take after a month of use:
First off, the color (Shasta Lake Navy) is GORGEOUS in person - way richer than the product pics. The micro suede material feels luxe at first touch, and it's surprisingly lightweight for how warm it is. Perfect for my freezing bedroom but not a sweatbox situation.
BUT...the shams? Meh. They're basically fancy pillowcases (why do brands do this??). The comforter itself though? Chef's kiss. Washed it twice already and zero clumping - lays perfectly flat on my queen bed.
Now the not-so-great: I noticed some slight stitching issues near the tags right out of the package. Not dealbreaking but for $100? C'mon Eddie Bauer, you can do better. Also spotted a few polyester fibers poking through after week two.
Final verdict? 7.5/10. Would I repurchase? Maybe on sale. It's cozy AF but has some quality control issues at this price point. My cat approves though - she's claimed it as her new napping throne.
