Let me start by saying this charger is a lifesaver for my old Club Car. The lightweight design (only 5.9 lbs!) makes it so easy to carry around compared to those bulky OEM chargers. I can literally toss it in the cart's storage compartment without breaking my back.
The charging performance is solid - my batteries get juiced up properly, and I appreciate the crowfoot plug compatibility with multiple golf cart brands. The two LED lights give basic status info, though I wish they were more intuitive (more on that later).
Now for the not-so-great parts: The waterproofing seems questionable. Like one reviewer mentioned, mine also acted weird after getting caught in light drizzle. It didn't fail completely but started making odd noises until it dried out.
The biggest confusion is the charging indicators. The manual is useless here. In my experience, the green light only appears AFTER unplugging when batteries are fully charged, which is counterintuitive. There were times I left it charging overnight just to be safe.
Pro tip: Don't rely on automatic shutoff - I've caught mine continuing to trickle charge even when batteries should be full. Set a timer or check voltage manually if you're paranoid like me about overcharging.
Bottom line? It gets the job done if you understand its quirks and keep it dry. Just don't expect premium features at this price point.
