Okay, so I was totally that person who bought these organ molds 'for Halloween'... but let's be real, I've used them like 4 times since October. The brain mold is my absolute fave - it makes the weirdest jelly desserts that gross out my roommate every time.
The silicone is thinner than I expected (why do all the product photos make them look chunky?), but they actually work better that way? Like when I'm doing resin pours, the flexibility helps pop out those lung details without tearing. Though fair warning - red food coloring STAINS. Learned that the hard way.
Used them for:
- Disgusting-looking gummies (big hit at med school parties)
- Soap making (nothing funnier than washing hands with a soap brain)
- Ice cubes (morbid mojitos anyone?)
- Actual fondant (once, because I'm lazy)
Wish they included more organs though - where's my kidney mold at? Would pay extra for a full anatomy set. These are holding up surprisingly well despite being thin - just don't go stabbing them with sharp tools when demolding.
