I've been using the FANLIDE Universal Power Strip for a few weeks now, and it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. On one hand, the 4 AC outlets and 4 USB ports are incredibly handy for my dorm room. I can charge my phone, laptop, tablet, and even my power bank all at once without needing multiple adapters. The 6.5ft cord is a lifesaver when the nearest outlet is across the room.
The smart USB charging works as advertised—my devices do charge faster compared to my old power strip. I also appreciate the childproof covers since my little cousin visits often. The build feels sturdy with its fireproof plastic, and it hasn’t overheated even when I’ve used multiple high-wattage devices.
However, there are some glaring issues. Like one reviewer mentioned, European plugs don’t stay securely in place—I have to jiggle or press down on mine to maintain contact, which is frustrating. The spacing between outlets is tight; fitting two bulky UK plugs side-by-side is impossible unless they’re slim. And while it claims universal compatibility, Australian plugs definitely don’t work here.
For basic use with US devices or slim adapters, it’s decent for the price. But if you rely on international plugs or need all ports occupied constantly, you might want to look elsewhere.
