Just got my hands on these EBL rechargeable D cells and wanted to share my experience. First off, the packaging is solid - comes with a handy battery case which is a nice touch.
The batteries arrived with some charge (about 2/3 full in my case), but here's the catch: my universal charger flagged them as defective! After some research, I learned not all chargers can handle these high-capacity batteries. Frustrating, but not necessarily the batteries' fault.
Customer service deserves major props though. When I reached out with my issue, they offered free replacements no questions asked. That level of support is rare these days!
For those wondering about performance - in my Maglite, they lasted a solid 24 hours at full brightness before slowly dimming. Not bad at all for rechargeables!
Word to the wise: don't expect them to come fully charged despite what the description says. Plan to charge them properly before first use (takes several hours). Also, double-check your charger compatibility before buying.
All things considered? If you're willing to invest in the right charging setup, these could be a great eco-friendly alternative to disposable batteries.
