I was excited to try Sage 50 Pro Accounting 2023 for my small business, hoping it would simplify my financial management. The promise of easy setup and payroll processing sounded perfect.

However, my experience quickly turned sour. The payroll feature, which was a key reason I chose this software, turned out to be unusable without an additional subscription. After spending 30 minutes on hold with customer support, I still couldn't get a clear answer about the extra costs.

The data transfer from QuickBooks was a complete disaster. My previously closed accounts showed ridiculous balances, and my current account was off by $1.4 million! I spent hours trying to fix these errors because the beginning balance data couldn't be edited.

Customer support was another nightmare. They couldn't even find my account when I needed help, and then locked me out of the program entirely. It felt like they were holding my data hostage unless I paid for additional services.

For $240, I expected at least a full year of service, but it only lasted 8 months before requiring more payments. The software that's supposed to help manage cash flow ended up creating more financial headaches than it solved.
