The nitrifying balls work surprisingly well too. My tank stays cleaner longer, and I've noticed less frequent water changes are needed. They blend right into the substrate while doing their magic.

Now for the not-so-great part: that suction cup feeding ring is basically useless. My red-eared slider dislodges it with one enthusiastic headbutt during feeding time. It now collects dust in my supplies drawer while I use a different floating feeder.
