Okay, so I finally got my hands on this 'French painter chic' beret everyone's been raving about. First impression? The packaging was *chef's kiss* - came in this cute box with plastic wrap like it was some luxury item. Felt fancy unboxing it!
The material is THICC. Like, proper wool that feels expensive. The satin lining is a nice touch - no hair pulling which is a major win for someone with long locks like me.
Now the sizing... girl. This is XXL for real. I've got what my grandma calls 'a good amount of hair' and this thing still looked like a dinner plate on my head. Ended up giving it to my cousin who has massive curly hair and it looks adorable on her.
Style-wise? Super versatile. You can wear it slouched, tilted, however - gives major Parisian artist vibes. The black color goes with literally everything in my wardrobe.
Quality is definitely there though! Stitching is perfect, no loose threads, and the wool feels like it'll last forever. Just wish they had smaller sizes because this would be perfect if it wasn't swallowing my whole head.
Final verdict: 4/5 (minus one star for being comically large unless you've got BIG hair energy)
