Okay, so I finally caved and bought these SelRoys cowboy booties after seeing them all over Instagram. Here's my honest take after wearing them for a couple weeks!
First off - the look? STUNNING. The embroidery details are even prettier in person, and that pointed toe gives such a chic western vibe. I got the red pair and they're seriously eye-catching without being too 'yeehaw'. Perfect for dressing up jeans or pairing with dresses.
Comfort-wise... mixed feelings. The latex insole is nice at first, but after about 3 hours of wear, my feet were begging for mercy. The block heel is manageable though - not too tall but gives enough lift to feel fancy.
Now the big question: true to size? For me YES (I'm usually an 8 and got 8), but several reviews mentioned sizing issues so maybe check the return policy just in case.
The real test was wearing them to a country concert - looked amazing in photos but by midnight I was barefoot in the parking lot. That non-slip sole? Not as non-slip as advertised when beer gets involved...
Final verdict: 8/10 for style, 6/10 for comfort. Would I buy again? Maybe in black for special occasions, but not as everyday boots.
