Okay, so I just finished 'The Wife Before' and WOW. This book had me canceling plans just to keep reading. The twists? Unreal. The suspense? Chef's kiss. Shanora Williams really knows how to mess with your head in the best way possible.
I loved how the story flipped between Miami and Colorado - it gave such a cool contrast to the whole 'perfect marriage hiding dark secrets' vibe. Samira's character development was *chef's kiss* - from vulnerable waitress to uncovering Roland's shady past, I was rooting for her the whole time.
That said... did anyone else see the ending coming from like chapter 5? Don't get me wrong, the journey was still wild, but I kinda guessed the big reveal early on. Still didn't stop me from screaming at my book when it actually happened though!
The writing style was super bingeable - like one of those Netflix shows you can't stop watching even though you know it's kinda trashy? But in a good way? Definitely recommend for thriller lovers who enjoy messy relationships with EXTRA drama.
