Let me start by saying I had high hopes for these seaweed clips. The package includes 2 ABS clips and 4 suction cups, promising a rust-free, long-lasting solution for feeding veggies to my aquarium fish.
The good: The clips are indeed made of quality transparent plastic that feels durable. They securely hold nori sheets and lettuce without tearing them apart. I love that they prevent my fish from gobbling up all the food at once, creating a more natural feeding experience.
The bad (and it's pretty bad): These clips FLOAT! Despite the product description, there's absolutely no weight to them. My first attempt at using them ended with the clip bobbing at the water's surface like a tiny buoy. I had to MacGyver a solution by tying small rocks to weigh them down.
Installation tip: The suction cups work best on perfectly clean glass. Even then, they occasionally lose grip after a few days. I recommend checking their attachment regularly.
Bonus use: They do work surprisingly well as decoration holders! I've used them to position artificial plants near the bottom of my tank where my plecos like to hang out.
Final verdict: While functional once modified, these clips require DIY fixes right out of the package. For the price, I expected better engineering considering their primary purpose is underwater use.
