Okay, so I just finished 'Things We Never Got Over' and wow... just WOW. This book hit me right in the feels!
First off, Naomi and Knox? CHEMISTRY. The slow burn was *chef's kiss* perfect. I loved how their relationship developed naturally with all the messy, real-life complications.
The small town setting felt so cozy yet dramatic - like Stars Hollow but with more tattoos and bar fights. And Waylay? That kid stole every scene she was in!
What surprised me most was how much I laughed while reading what's essentially a pretty emotional story. Lucy Score nailed that balance between humor and heartbreak.
Fair warning though - have tissues ready for the last third of the book. I was full-on ugly crying at 2am (no regrets).
Already downloaded Book 2 because I need more of these characters ASAP!
