First off, the good stuff: Being able to check my hot tub temp from bed is AMAZING. No more late-night treks outside in my robe just to see if the water's ready. Alexa integration works like a charm - "Alexa, ask YoLink for the hot tub temperature" has become my new catchphrase.
The range is insane too! My hub's in the basement and the tub is way out back - no connection issues at all. And that 5-year battery claim? So far so good - still showing full bars after months of use.
Now for the not-so-great: About that water intrusion issue others mentioned... yep, happened to me too. Woke up one morning to find my thermometer looking like a snow globe inside. BUT here's where YoLink impressed me - they proactively reached out with a solution AND sent a replacement before I even asked!
The fix was simple enough (dry it out + silicone grease), but c'mon YoLink - maybe test these better before selling them as pool gadgets? That said, their customer service gets major points for handling it well.
Final verdict? Would absolutely buy again (and probably will for my pool). Just keep some silicone grease handy and enjoy never having to guess your water temp again!
