Okay, so I've been using this MicroTech glucose monitor for about two weeks now, and here's the tea ☕️
First off - the accuracy seems legit. I'm pre-diabetic (trying to avoid the full diagnosis) and needed something reliable. The readings match what my doctor's office gets, which is a huge relief. No wild fluctuations that make me panic.
The lancet? Surprisingly gentle! I was scared at first but the adjustable depth thing actually works. My fingertips thank me every morning.
Storage is a game-changer - 500 results?! I can finally stop scribbling numbers on random post-its like some glucose-crazed maniac.
BUT (there's always a but)... The battery situation is weird. It uses this tiny CR2032 instead of regular AAs. Like why?? When this dies, I'll have to hunt down this special battery instead of grabbing one from my TV remote.
Also heads up - the manual mentions some control solution test that isn't included. Super confusing since you can't even buy it separately? I just skipped that part tbh 🤷♀️
Overall? Solid 4/5 stars. Gets the job done without drama (mostly). Would recommend if you need an affordable home monitor that doesn't feel like medieval torture.
