Let me start by saying I was really excited to try these earbuds, especially for their translation features. The idea of having real-time translations in my ears sounded like something out of a sci-fi movie. But after using them for a few weeks, I have some thoughts.
The good: The Bluetooth connection is rock solid. I could walk around my apartment without any drops, which is more than I can say for some other wireless earbuds I've tried. They're also surprisingly comfortable for all-day wear - the open-ear design means no ear fatigue during long work shifts.
Now the not-so-good: The translation feature is... finicky. In quiet one-on-one conversations with Spanish speakers (I tested this with my neighbor), it worked decently well if we spoke slowly. But in noisy environments? Forget about it. At a busy coffee shop, it caught maybe every third word of a conversation.
The sound quality is just okay for music - vocals are clear but bass lovers will be disappointed. And that app? It's confusing as heck. Took me forever to figure out how to pair them properly (pro tip: check the back of the box for the right code).
Would I recommend these? If you need basic translation help in controlled environments and want passable earbuds, maybe. But if you're expecting seamless Star Trek-level universal translation, you'll be disappointed.
