Let me start by saying this: the Samsung Q60D's picture quality is absolutely breathtaking. The Quantum Dot technology delivers colors so vibrant they make my old LCD TV look like a child's crayon drawing. Watching nature documentaries in 4K HDR feels like having a window to another world - I caught myself leaning forward during Planet Earth scenes because the depth was so convincing.
The slim design with that ultra-thin 7.5mm wall gap (using their special mount) gives my living room such a clean, modern look. It literally disappears when turned off, becoming just another piece of wall art. Setup was a breeze too - I had it mounted and streaming Netflix within 20 minutes.
Now for the bad news: that remote is an ergonomic nightmare. Trying to adjust volume feels like performing microsurgery with oven mitts on. The buttons are tiny, unresponsive, and arranged in the most illogical way possible. After three days I gave up and bought an aftermarket universal remote - something Samsung should include at this price point.
The built-in speakers are... fine for casual viewing but definitely need a soundbar for serious movie nights. Motion handling is excellent though - no blur during fast sports action or Marvel fight scenes thanks to the Motion Xcelerator tech.
Would I buy it again? For the picture quality alone - yes, but with the understanding that I'd need to budget extra for a proper remote and sound system. It's not perfect, but when those colors pop just right... wow.
