Let me start by saying this: I devoured Warlock, Book Two in two days. That’s how addictive it is. From the moment I cracked it open, the humor, world-building, and character depth had me hooked.
The jokes? Absolute gold. Noah’s conversations with 'himself' had me laughing out loud—something rare for a fantasy novel. The humor isn’t forced; it flows naturally, making the characters feel real and relatable.
Speaking of characters, they’re brilliantly fleshed out. The MC is strong but not overpowered, moral but flexible—no stupid decisions just to move the plot along. And the supporting cast? Each one feels like they have their own story, their own depth.
The world-building is where this book truly shines. The lore feels lived-in and expansive, not just a backdrop for the story. There are twists and turns that keep you guessing, and subtle nods to other series that fans will appreciate.
Now, about that cliffhanger ending—yes, it’s there, but it doesn’t detract from the satisfaction of finishing the book. If anything, it makes me eager for Book Three (which I’ll be preordering ASAP).
One minor gripe: the BDSM elements weren’t my cup of tea, but they’re handled with care and consent. Even so, they didn’t ruin my enjoyment of an otherwise stellar read.
Bottom line? If you loved Book One, you’ll adore Book Two. And if you haven’t started the series yet—what are you waiting for?
