Let me start by saying this pump has been a lifesaver for those moments when I need to multitask. The freedom to pump while making dinner or even changing my baby’s diaper is incredible. No more being tethered to a wall outlet like with my Medela!
However, it’s not perfect. The suction is noticeably weaker than my standard electric pump. What takes 5 minutes with my Medela requires at least 20 minutes with the Momcozy. I have to keep it on maximum suction the entire time, especially since the massage mode does nothing for my inverted nipples.
The portability is where this pump shines. I’ve used it discreetly in public and even while driving - something I could never do before. Just be warned: it’s not silent. There’s a distinct humming sound, though it’s quieter than my Medela.
Battery life has been impressive - about 8 full sessions on a single charge. But you can’t use it while charging, which can be inconvenient if you forget to plug it in.
The design could use improvement. It’s tricky to position correctly since you can’t see your nipple alignment, and the motor sometimes pops off when adjusting. A tight bra is essential to keep everything in place.
Cleaning is tedious with all the small parts, but that’s par for the course with most pumps. The included 24mm flanges were too big for me - I had to buy 19mm inserts separately.
Despite its flaws, I don’t regret this purchase. It’s not a replacement for my primary pump, but as a supplemental option for when mobility matters most, it delivers (pun intended). Just don’t expect miracles if you have a heavy milk supply or need quick sessions.
