Let me start by saying this Katsuki Bakugo figure is a BLAST (pun intended). As someone who owns multiple My Hero Academia figures, this one stands out for its insane articulation and swappable parts. The 30+ points of movement let you recreate his signature AP Shot poses with surprising accuracy.
The GOOD:
- Those faceplates? Chef's kiss. Angry, battle-ready, and cocky expressions capture Bakugo's personality perfectly.
- The energy effects are game-changers for display. They slot into the hands securely (mostly) and make for epic action shots.
- At 6.5 inches, he scales well with other popular anime figures without dominating the shelf.
The NOT-SO-GOOD:
- Be warned about the spiky hair - it's SHARP. I actually poked myself twice while changing faceplates.
- Some joints are tighter than others. Had to gently work in the elbow joints to avoid feeling like I'd snap them.
- The thigh swivel absence is noticeable if you're used to Figma-level articulation.
Real talk: For the price point, this blows similar figures out of the water. My nephew (a diehard MHA fan) nearly screamed when he saw the alternate explosion hands. Just don't give this to young kids - those small accessories are choking hazards waiting to happen.
Display tip: Use the back tab for a flight stand if you want mid-air explosion poses. And maybe keep band-aids handy for those hair spikes!
