I recently got the Fasmov artificial grass rug for my balcony, and it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. At first glance, it looks fantastic—bright green and surprisingly soft underfoot. Walking barefoot on it feels nice, almost like real grass but without the mess.
However, unpacking it was a chore. It arrived folded, not rolled, so there were deep creases everywhere. I had to weigh it down with books for days to flatten it out. And oh, the shedding! The black backing sheds like crazy, leaving tiny black specks all over my floor. Vacuuming helped, but the mess was frustrating.
I also noticed a strong chemical smell when I first unboxed it. I let it air out on the balcony for a few days, and thankfully, the odor faded. But if you’re planning to use this indoors or around pets right away, be prepared to wait.
On the plus side, it’s held up well outdoors. I’ve hosed it down a few times after rain, and it dries quickly without losing its shape. My dog loves lying on it—no muddy paws tracked inside anymore! It’s also easy to cut to size, which was handy for fitting my balcony perfectly.
For the price, it’s decent—just don’t expect premium quality. If you can deal with the initial shedding and odor, it’s a fun way to add some green to your space.
