Okay, so I grabbed this 3-award-winning-documentary set because the price was seriously good. Three classics for less than the price of one? Sign me up!
The films themselves are absolute gems - Tammy Faye's story is wild, One Day in September is gripping, and Ramblin' Jack has that perfect folksy charm. The quality is great and they play perfectly... if you have the right setup.
Here's the BIG BUT though - this is a Region 2 PAL import from Netherlands! The listing didn't mention this at all when I bought it on Amazon Canada. My regular DVD player wouldn't play it and I had to dig out my old region-free player.
The case is entirely in Dutch (which I don't speak) and there's no English packaging at all. Not a dealbreaker for me since the films are in English, but worth noting.
Bottom line: Amazing content if you can play it, but the listing REALLY needs to be clearer about the region coding. Maybe stick to your country's Amazon version unless you're sure about your player's capabilities!
