Just installed this tamper-proof thermostat in my rental property and wow - what a game changer! No more panicked calls from tenants "accidentally" cranking the AC to arctic levels during Texas summers.

The 76° limit works perfectly in both directions. Tenants can turn heat lower (saves $$) but can't freeze me out with AC abuse. Installation took 10 minutes - just swapped wires from old unit.

PRO TIP: Like another reviewer mentioned, I added small plastic tabs to block the fan switch. Now it stays on Auto mode where it belongs. Would be nice if manufacturer included this feature.

Only complaint? The $70 price tag stings when cheaper thermostats exist... until you calculate how much one bad tenant can cost in utility bills!
