I've been using the Insta360 Ace Pro for a few weeks now, and it's hands down the best action camera I've ever owned. The Leica-engineered lens and massive 1/1.3" sensor deliver stunning image quality that makes my old GoPro footage look like it was shot on a potato.
What really blew me away was the low-light performance. I shot some nighttime cityscapes in PureVideo mode, and the results were shockingly good - clear, detailed, and with minimal noise. The AI noise reduction actually works, unlike the marketing hype on most cameras.
The flip screen is a game-changer for vlogging. I can frame myself perfectly whether I'm holding it at arm's length or have it mounted on my bike. And speaking of mounting - that magnetic system is genius. Switching between my helmet mount and handlebar mount takes seconds.
Battery life is decent (I get about 90 minutes shooting 4K60), but I definitely recommend picking up a spare battery for longer shoots. The AI editing features save me hours in post-production - it automatically picks highlights from my footage that are actually usable.
Is it perfect? The app can be sluggish with 8K footage, and I wish the screen was brighter in direct sunlight. But these are minor quibbles for a camera that consistently delivers pro-level results in a package I can take anywhere.
