Let me start by saying this little gadget has been both a lifesaver and a frustration during my travels across Southeast Asia. The compact size is perfect - it literally fits in my pocket alongside my phone, and the 2100mAh battery does last about 8-9 hours with moderate use.
The setup was where things got tricky. Like other reviewers mentioned, the manual font is ridiculously small (I had to use my phone's zoom function to read it). After some trial and error, I discovered you need to insert the SIM card with the chip facing DOWN - something not clearly indicated anywhere.
When it works, the speeds are decent (around 25-40Mbps in Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur), though definitely not the advertised 150Mbps. I've successfully connected up to 6 devices simultaneously without major lag - great for when my travel group needs connectivity.
The major downside? Compatibility is hit-or-miss. It worked flawlessly in Thailand and Malaysia but refused to connect in Bali despite using the same carrier's SIM card. Also, the admin interface looks like it's from early 2000s - functional but painfully outdated.
Would I recommend it? With reservations. If you're tech-savvy enough to troubleshoot and only need coverage in certain regions, it's worth considering during sales. But casual users might want something more user-friendly.
