Let me start by saying this Tedgetal 12U rack does its job - it holds equipment securely and looks professional. The cold-rolled steel construction feels sturdy, and I've loaded mine with about 40lbs of gear without any concerns. The locking door gives me peace of mind about security, which was a must-have for my home office setup.

However, assembly was... an adventure. The instructions might as well have been written in hieroglyphics. I spent a good hour just figuring out how the rails fit (protip: skip them initially and come back later). The included Torx screws were frustrating - some holes needed drilling to make them fit properly. Thank goodness for YouTube tutorials!

The ventilation is excellent, but buyer beware: no fans are included despite what the product images might suggest. I ended up adding my own cooling solution. Also disappointing was the lack of shelves - you'll need to purchase these separately if you want to maximize space efficiency.

On the plus side, once assembled, this rack is rock solid. The quick-release side panel makes maintenance easy, and cable management is decent (though I wish there were more routing options). At this price point, it's hard to complain too much - just be prepared for some DIY adjustments.

Would I buy it again? Maybe - but only if I couldn't afford the slightly pricier Startech alternative that arrives pre-assembled with better quality control.
