I recently got my hands on the Fuwidvia 3 Pack Airplane Launcher Toys, and let me tell you, they are way more fun than I expected. The set comes with three colorful foam planes (green, orange, and blue) and a nifty pistol-style launcher that makes launching these gliders a breeze.
The first thing that caught my eye was the LED lights on the planes. They add a cool factor, especially for evening play sessions. My nephew was absolutely mesmerized watching them light up as they soared through the air. Just a heads-up though—the lights can be a bit finicky, so don’t rely on them too much.
Using the launcher is super intuitive. You just pull back the lever to cock it, load the plane, and fire away. The planes glide surprisingly far—I’d say around 50 feet on a calm day if you angle them slightly upward. The two flight modes (Gyrant and Gliding) are a nice touch, letting you switch up how the planes fly depending on how you position the tail wing.
Durability-wise, these are made of foam, so they’re lightweight and bendable but not indestructible. One of ours broke on the first day (user error—we didn’t insert the wing properly), but customer service was quick to replace it. The launcher itself feels sturdy, and my nephew had no trouble using it independently.
This toy is perfect for outdoor play, but be warned: these gliders have a knack for getting stuck in trees if you’re not careful. Indoors, they’re safe to use (though maybe avoid aiming at fragile decor—or your face).
At first glance, the price might seem steep for foam planes, but considering how much fun they provide—and that replacements are easy to get—I’d say it’s worth it. Ideal for birthdays or holidays, especially if you’ve got a kid who loves anything that flies.
