Just got this Lenovo IdeaPad laptop and wanted to share my honest thoughts after using it for a week. The specs looked amazing on paper, but there are some things you should know before buying.
First the good stuff: The 20GB RAM is no joke! I can have 30+ Chrome tabs open while running Photoshop and Spotify without any lag. The 1TB SSD + 128GB eMMC storage combo is perfect for my work files and personal media.
The display is decent for the price - colors look nice and bright. The webcam with privacy shutter is a nice touch for Zoom calls. Also LOVE that it comes with Office 365 for a year (the Copilot features in Word are surprisingly helpful).
Now the not-so-good: BIG disappointment about the keyboard lighting situation. The description made me think it had backlit keys (which I really need for late-night work sessions) but NOPE. Had to buy a separate USB light which is annoying.
Also, Windows 11 in S mode was frustrating at first until I figured out how to switch it to regular mode (takes like 2 minutes but still). Some people might want to know this upfront.
The accessories bundle is nice though - wireless mouse and earbuds work well enough for basic use.
Overall? Solid laptop if you don't need backlit keys and don't mind switching out of S mode. Performance-wise it's fantastic for the price, just wish Lenovo was more accurate with their product descriptions!
