Okay, so I finally caved and ordered these Gala apples after seeing them pop up everywhere. Here's the real tea:
First impression? They arrived looking pretty decent - no major bruises or anything. But girl... these apples are TINY. Like, 'did someone crossbreed these with cherries?' tiny. Definitely not what I expected for the price.
Taste-wise? They're... fine? Like a solid 6/10. Juicy enough but nothing to write home about. My local farmer's market ones have way more flavor punch.
The convenience factor is real though - as someone who hates grocery runs, having apples magically appear at my door is kinda nice. But at nearly $1 per mini-apple? Oof.
Would I order again? Maybe if I was desperate and snowed in. Otherwise, nah - I'll stick to my weekend market haul where I can actually pick decent sized fruits that don't cost an arm and a leg.
