Just got these Art Graf tailor chalks and wow - they're everything I hoped for and more!

The carbon black is SO intense and rich, perfect for dramatic shadows in my sketches. The white is surprisingly versatile too - I've been using it to lift highlights or create soft washes when blended with water.

What I love most is how they bridge the gap between drawing and painting. Sometimes I want the control of a pencil but the expressiveness of paint, and these deliver exactly that.

The cork box is such a nice touch - keeps them protected when I toss them in my art bag. Though fair warning: one of mine arrived slightly chipped (probably from shipping), so that was a bummer.

Been experimenting with them both wet and dry. When used dry, they feel like super-charged charcoal. Add water and suddenly you've got these beautiful painterly effects. Obsessed!
